Broker & Hamrick, P.A. represents the injured and disabled of Western North Carolina. Leah Broker and Anna Hamrick assist clients seeking Social Security disability, Supplemental Security Income, Medicaid and Workers’ Compensation benefits. Leah Broker has practiced these areas of law since 1992. She joined with her good friend, Anna Hamrick, in 2002 to form Broker & Hamrick, P.A. The support staff are Katie Gates, NC Certified Paralegal, Linda Johnson, paralegal and Karen Ward, NC Certified Paralegal. Both Anna and Leah are members of the N.C. Bar Association, the N.C. Academy of Trial Lawyers, the American Bar Association, National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives and the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys.
Leah Broker graduated from Marquette University in 1989 and received her law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1992. She has practiced in Asheville since 1992 and is a former president of the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys (NCAWA), is a Mountain Area Volunteer Lawyer for Pisgah Legal Services and is a former president of Western Carolinians for Criminal Justice.
Anna Hamrick graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1991 and received her law degree from George Washington University in 1994. Since moving to Asheville in 1996, Anna has been a member of the Junior League of Asheville, the Jewish Community Center, and serves on the Board of Pisgah Legal Services and is a Mountain Area Volunteer Lawyer.
